Texas based tuners Hennessey have shown their upgrade of the 2015 Ford’s all new F150 aluminium bodied truck, the FX4 Super Crew. In its Velociraptor avatar, the Hennessey tuned truck will get a supercharged 5.0 liter V8 engine with more than 600bhp of power. The Hennessey tuned truck will also get visual mods and better off-roading capabilities as compared to the stock machine.
The Hennessey Velociraptor will plug the void created by the discontinuation of Ford’s very own F-150 SVT Raptor. The truck boasted 411 bhp and came with baja pre-runner capabilities. Unfortunately, this extremely capable and fast off-roader has been taken off the shelves, and that’s where the new Hennessey model will slot in.
For the 2015 Velociraptor, Hennessey have packed in a Root-type supercharger with 8 Psi of boost. The forced induction system helps the monstrous 5.0-liter V8 engine under the bonnet suck in more air. There is also a new stainless-steel exhaust system to improve the output. Upgraded fuel injectors will help feed the supercharged V8 and the ECU will also be custom made by Hennessey. For those who may think that so much modification may affect the engine’s longevity, Hennessey is offering a 3 year / 58000 km warranty for this 600+ bhp brute.

The Velociraptor will be a limited run vehicle with only 500 units slated for production. Pricing in the US will start at Rs 43 lakh ($73,000). The modified truck will come equipped with 33 inch BFGoodrich tires on 17 inch Hennessey wheels. Greater personalization and off-road performance can be had by adding options such as custom off-road coilover suspension, upgraded front and rear bumpers, front winch, LED light bars, Brembo brakes and more.
“The 2015 VelociRaptor 600 will offer the best of both worlds for our clients,” says Hennessey partner, Don Goldman. “Many of our VelociRaptor owners use their trucks to drive to work or to take the kids to school. However, when the going gets tough, the VelociRaptor is highly capable in inclement weather and off-road conditions.”
Apart from offering the Velocirator 600 as a buy-off-the shelf product, Hennessey will also offer a VelociRaptor upgrade package for 2015 Ford trucks equipped with the EcoBoost engine.
