In just six months, Nissan has taken 1,000 new LEAF in Norway on the road. In the peak month of February captured the pure batterielektrisch powered C-segment vehicle accounted for two percent of total new car market in the Scandinavian country. This result shows the positive effects of government incentives for electric vehicles and charging a well-developed infrastructure.
In February, the LEAF advanced beyond the second most successful Nissan Qashqai behind in Norway, in the hit list of all new vehicles, he won the amazing ninth. Norway is the European country with the largest incentives for purchasers of electric vehicle: Neither VAT (25 percent) or new car tax will be levied; to enjoy LEAF owner free parking, exemption from toll fees and access to Bussspuren in the city of Oslo. In the Norwegian capital, already 3500 public charging stations are installed, many of them for free use.
The owner of the 1,000 th Nissan LEAF, Nils Haugerud, were on 25 April at 12:30 clock by Norways environment minister Bard Vegar Solhjell the keys to his new car presents. The ceremony in front of the Ministry of Environment also lived Birger N. Haug at - one of nine LEAF dealers in Norway, which alone has sold 550 of the 1,000 vehicles sold so far. He is one of the highest-volume dealers world-LEAF.
